One switch in the positive cable after the passenger side battery will suffice. You must also take the output side of the switch to the solenoid too. Cable size will have to be at least 2/0 if the switch is mounted in the cab, due to the length of the runs. Under-hood would be better because the cable runs are shorter.

2 posts · Joined 2009. #10 · Jan 19, 2010. i have the same problem. my 2000 gt did the same thing, go back to your fuel pump driver module and locate pin #3, then ground it if the fuel pump comes on and runs, then i would look at the pcm>fuel driver module harness. if id doesnt come on but makes a slight arc. then the fuel pump is shot.

Power goes from battery to junction box to fuse 40 to fuel pump relay to inertia switch to fuel pump. Verify that the relay is good if fuse is good. Follow by checking for power at inertia switch. I also see that there is a reading that comes from the PCM to the fuel pump, but that doesn't affect power to the pump.

Car has barely 46k miles on it and is in mint condition. I checked everything to my knowledge: battery yes, fuel pump relay clicks nicely, the fuel pump hums (2-3 seconds) when turning the key to ignition ON. Upon cranking the gas cutout light comes right back on and no fuel coming to the engine; it won't turn over clearly.
