I owned a WR250R for about a year, before drinking the orange koolade around 2013. I realize its a turd compared to the 690, but its a stone reliable turd and is tough as a cockroach. That said, I've logged over 60,000 completely trouble free miles between my 1190R and a couple KTM dirt bikes and have had zero issues.

I then tried a 10.0 from Super Plush that seemed to make no noticeable difference. I have now installed a 13.0 spring from my Super Enduro and I get proper sag numbers with 10 mm of spring pre-load. I will try this out this weekend. The KTM manual calls for 18mm of spring pre-load which seems to be excessive IMHO.

It is supposed to flash the same way like the TC Button does. The owners manual is pretty clearthe ABS light only comes on when moving if there is a problem, or if ABS is switched off, see screenshot below. As others have already mentioned, the ABS light does not come on when ABS is actively functioning on my bike either.
From 2017 to 2019 Husky had an engine with the same displacement but more power and less vibration, but now the 2019 690 has the same higher performance engine. So the displacement has always been the same, but the performance wasn't the same until 2019. Also the 690 has different electronics that KTM says are higher spec. If you want a bigger gas tank the DR will be a better option. With the KTM, it sits under the seat for better handling but makes for difficult, and expensive, upgrade options. If you can handle riding a bike without the flashy factor, go DR650. Simple, reliable, cheaper upgrades and less maintenance. Just my 2 cents.
There’s not many other two-wheelers in this bike’s class, the KTM 690 Enduro being the main one, obviously, however the 701 is dearer due to its up-spec components ($15,995 versus $14,695), though there are more aftermarket parts available for the KTM, still, though that gap is closing. This is a great bike that rides well, with a superb

KTM 690 Enduro R. When it comes to adventure bikes, KTM’s 690 Enduro is one of the most off-road capable dual sport bikes on the market. Don’t forget that keyword: adventure bike. It’s the closest thing to a dirtbike without sacrificing the ability to strap on some camping gear and go a five-day, 800 mile ride through the mountains of

The bike must default to all "safety" systems working for liability reasons. They can't provide you a way to disable it that doesn't automatically reset (like a dash toggle) because some idiot would eventually forget it was off, hammer the brake, high side and break their neck then sue KTM for 15 million dollars.

For 2019, as you’d expect, the changes are a little less ground-breaking but still show progression. It shows too that KTM is taking development forward with R&D and race team input plus they are also using customer feedback to improve performance and reliability. There's also a continued commitment to the 125 and 150 XC-W models.
Or are they mechanically the same. Answer is yes. New counter-balanced, 74 hp duke engine is in 2017 Husqvarna 701's. Check the Husqvarna 701 thread, someone in UK already has one. It's all a bit confusing: 2014-2016 KTM 690 Enduro - twin spark, old style rocker arms, 66 hp.

1. Clutch Seal Damaged During Assembly. As recent as 2021, KTM issued a recall on several 2018-2020 year models, including the 690 Enduro R. Apparently, the recall was a response to the damage to the seal of the clutch’s slave cylinder during factory assembly. Once compromised, the damaged bellow gasket can interfere with the clutch operation.

Another inmate from ADV sent me this link. I just completed my first ever valve check and first ever for my 2018 KTM 690 Enduro R. The best videos online are yours. Very thorough. I don't think I could have managed without watching both of your videos several times. Extremely helpful. Thanks mate.

After so many years, I finally got the bike of my dreams. Trail capable, good looking, and not be a slug on the highway. After 3 months, I got used to the gentle speed wobble that can come from time to time when I ride above 130 km/h, and finally took it on the trails a couple of months ago. I

The 690 seems to be plenty capable of this task. My real question is would the (2017) Enduro 690 be ok for my commute? I'd put on a bit more street oriented tires so there isn't a concern there. I do want to know if anyone has experience with the 690 for a "short" commute such as mine. Concerns are possible vibration, and lack of wind protection.
The KTM 350 is a fantastic bike, I had one and loved it. But do you really think a high powered high maintenance enduro racer is the best choice for a dirt noob? The WR250R weighs nearly 30lbs less than the KTM 690 and is a lot easier to handle. It's also very low maintenance, just gas and go, and change the oil every 5000 miles or so. .
