Hi everyone, I was super excited to try out my new Gear Fit 2 (ordered from Best Buy in the US), but heartbreakingly it will not actually connect to my phone. I am on a Galaxy S 6 running the original OS, but the tricky part is that it is from a Japanese provider (DoCoMo).
In order to pair I need to go into watch settings and go to Bluetooth and manually change “pair your phone if music controls are off”. This is always listed “off” and I have to change to “pair”. Then the phone, samsung galaxy 9, will connect to Fitbit. An hour later, Bluetooth is not connected to Fitbit and have to do it all over again.

If the battery percentage is greater than 20 – 25% and your watch shows a black screen or is not responsive to the touch, a soft reset helps fix this issue. Press and hold the Power button on the watch while it is charging. You see the ‘Power Off’ button show up on the Options screen. Tap on “Power Off”.
